Be Your Own Valentine
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I was recently chatting with Annie (our BestPT Admin) about Valentine’s Day. We were discussing how hard it can be to show up for your Valentine if you haven’t been showing up and caring for yourself.
It was then that we had the epiphany that you first have to be your own Valentine before you can be someone else’s!
Hello, you can’t pour from an empty cup! (I mean you can try, but it won’t work very well lol). Instead of bleeding yourself dry to shower the ones you love with affection, why not FIRST, show yourself some love?!
After this enlightening chat, we sat and brainstormed our favorite ways to show ourselves love to share with you in honor of the Day of Love!
Here are our favorite self-love suggestions to keep your tank full:
🛀🏼 Take a bubble bath with candles
📖 Snuggle up and read a good book

🌿 Get lost and find yourself in nature
💕 Take yourself on a romantic date
🍿 Go see a movie by yourself
🧘🏼♀️ Care for your mind and meditate
🏋🏼♀️Get your sweat on with a good workout

These are just a handful of the ways that we like to practice self-love and care. Maybe there is something not listed here that works for you! Regardless, find what makes you feel your best and set aside time for it. Fill your love tank so you can smother the ones you love with adoration and appreciation.
