Be Your Own Valentine

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I was recently chatting with Annie (our BestPT Admin) about Valentine’s Day. We were discussing how hard it can be to show up for your Valentine if you haven’t been showing up and caring for yourself.

It was then that we had the epiphany that you first have to be your own Valentine before you can be someone else’s!

Exercise & Nutrition. King & Queen.

I saw this quote the other day:

“Exercise is king.
Nutrition is queen.
Put them together and you’ve got a kingdom.”

- Jack LaLanne

After reading it, I took stock of my own kingdom and realized this actually rings true. In the Best Household, we prioritize exercise as king and nutrition as queen to live our happiest lives.

So, why is this happening and how can I help?

What Schedule?

What a whirlwind this past week has been. I started on a high - an “I got this” mentality, which was very closely followed by a complete mental breakdown filled with 2 days of ugly crying and mascara stained cheeks. I. Did. Not. Have. It. I imagine a lot of you have been going through this rollercoaster of emotion recently…no? Just me? Well, anyways, after my husband and I had swift kick in the butt from our therapist, I might actually have it…sort of. Eh. We’ll take it day by day.
